Made from half a hectare of organically farmed, 60 year old Chardonnay vines the 2004 is now beginning to spread its wings. With an expressive nose of greengage, chalk and hot buttered toast, the palate is classic puligny with nervy acidity, broad chardonnay character and a fine, lean, long finish. This is a serious bottle of wine which will continue to improve, drink it with white fish in a beurre blanc (or similar) sauce over the next 6 years.
