Renew your energy supply - go green

You would think everybody would be doing it. Switching their energy supplier, that is. It appears that under 2% of households have switched to green energy tariff, though most households - according to BBC radio 4's money programme - could be saving money if they have never switched before. According to the National Consumer Council, almost two thirds of people say they would consider switching to green, so the gap is really quite marked.

Our current offers include the bigger players, E.ON (formerly Powergen) and npower. E.ON's Go Green package is offsetting the carbon emissions from the gas part part of their combined energy package using Climate Care, one of the more reputable companies in the consumer and business carbon offsetting world. npower on the other hand have invested significantly in new renewables and have a bespoke green energy package called juice.
Most energy companies offer a range of Energy Efficiency advice - and depending on your circumstances, you could be eligible for free insulation and energy efficient light bulbs. Switching to green is just one of the bigger things you can do to reduce your household bills, stay warm and save the planet.
