Orange is better than not trying at all

You still get green points when you buy an orange labelled product (at 75% cashback levels).

We recognise you can't be green all of the time, and there are times when the greenest product just isn't for you.

Our own clever rules kick in here to filter out the good from the not so good.

How does this work? For example, we would rate fridges that are rated A+ or better as green. Fridges rated just 'A' get an orange rating because most fridges already meet this standard. Also, if we lack information about a product, we will use the retailer and brand information as an alternative.

So, that means that you can buy a green rated product, from an orange rated retailer, manufactured by red rated brand. We think this gives the right signals to industry and also helps the consumer make a more informed choice.
