With some rather good policies, B&Q has led the way in pursuing environmental and ethical business. It promotes energy saving products, was the first chain to stock renewables generation kit for home owners and is positive about age. Independent commentators tend to give B&Q a middling to good ranking and we agree that B&Q are firmly in the top 50%. Their Eco-Footprint Calculator is worth a look.
