Ecomonkey
« Back
After we edited out the excess of self regarding, there was not much left.
However Ecomonkey undertook a review of its environmental management recently.
This highlighted that the company uses very few resources and generally has a very low environmental footprint. However the review identified that little of this was formalised or documented.
Good practices were identified: paperless business processes, except for accounting (the last bastion of ungreeness), systematic use of public transport and avoidance of air travel unless their was not an economic alternative, some carbon offsetting and energy saving practices in the office.
On the minus side, we found no information about the efficiency and effectiveness of the server environment or immediate plans to investigate this, lack of formalised processes and no document trails (precisely how many flights were offset).
Hence an the Orange rating, that is doing good but can do better.
