What we say about Marks and Spencer

According to the corporatecritic.org website M&S should be a borderline fail, against a rising trend which have seen M&S's ratings creeping up over the last year or so. M&S are pretty busy greening up their act, basically having cottoned on to the idea that going green and being a responsible corporate citizen is the smart way to differentiate themselves from their competitors and drive innovation. "Plan A" was announced in January 2007. This is a £200m 5 year "eco-plan". By 2012 M&S will become carbon neutral, send no waste to landfill, extend sustainable sourcing, set new standards in ethical trading, and help customers and employees live a healthier lifestyle, various sources state. Blimey.

We don't think we are going out on a limb by giving them a sound orange tag - that is a pass.
